दोनों इंसान हैं तो क्यूँ इतने हिजाबों में मिलें

hum ne us ke shahr ko chhoDa aur aankhon ko mund liya hai

 

अब क्या सोचें क्या हालात थे किस कारण ये ज़हर पिया है

हम ने उस के शहर को छोड़ा और आँखों को मूंद लिया है

अक्स-ए-दीवार के बदलते ही

 

khul gae shahr-e-gham ke darwaze

ek zara si hawa ke chalte hi

 

खुल गए शहर-ए-गम के दरवाज़े

एक ज़रा सी हवा के चलते ही
